Nautilus Plus FAQ

What versions of Nautilus Plus will be supported?
Currently Nautilus Plus 2.8.1 is only supported as a drop in replacement for Nautilus 2.8.x. Future releases will correspond to future major releases of Nautilus (2.10, 2.12 etc).

What are the requirements for Nautilus Plus?
The only requirement is a Gnome 2.8 desktop/platform. Nautilus Plus has no additional requirements over the standard Nautilus.

How do I install/compile Nautilus Plus from source?
Unpack the tarball and use the ./configure, make, make install sequence to compile and install it.

Will future versions of Nautilus Plus be based on the equivalent version of Nautilus?
Yes - Nautilus Plus is a patched version of Nautilus so Nautilus Plus will benefit from future improvements to Nautilus.

Will the "open in same window" feature of Nautilus Plus mess up saved spatial window properties like size and position?
No - windows opened spatially will always load and save their own properties. Spatial windows that are browsed into no longer load/save properties for the browsed folders (IE the spatial window behaves like a browser one).

How does the settings for mouse actions affect the pathbar and menu navigation?
The pathbar responds to both left and middle clicks according to the settings. Menu navigation elements (like bookmarks) always use the left mouse click setting.
